چکیده
ABSTRACT We present resolved thermodynamic profiles out to 500 kpc, about r500, of the z = 1.75 galaxy cluster IDCS J1426.5+3508 with 40 kpc resolution. Thanks combination Sunyaev–Zel’dovich and X-ray data sets, becomes most distant profiles. These are derived assuming a non-parametric pressure profile very flexible model for electron density profile. The shape is flatter than universal temperature increasing radially kpc. To identify possible future evolution , we compared it its local descendants that numerical simulations show be 0.65 ± 0.12 dex more massive. found no at 30 indicating fine tuning between cooling heating small radii. At < r 300 our observations entropy heat must deposited little net gas transfer, while need replaced by large amount cold, lower gas, consistent theoretical expectation filamentary stream, which brings low energy even smaller ≳ 400 polytropic index takes value, indicates presence non-thermal pressure. Our work also introduces new definition evolutionary rate uses unscaled radii, quantities, different masses redshifts compare ancestors descendants. It has advantage separating evolution, dependence on mass, pseudo-evolution, returns number unique interpretation, unlike other definitions used in literature.

متن کاملThe Interplay of Cluster and Galaxy Evolution
We review here the interplay of cluster and galaxy evolution. As a case study, we consider the Butcher–Oemler effect and propose that it is the result of the changing rate of cluster merger events in a hierarchical universe. This case study highlights the need for new catalogs of clusters and groups that possess quantified morphologies. We present such a sample here, namely the Sloan Digital Sk...
متن کاملThermodynamic evolution of the cosmological baryonic gas : II . Galaxy formation
The problem of galaxy formation and its dependence on thermodynamic properties is addressed by using Eulerian hydrodynamic numerical simulations of large scale structure formation. Global galaxy properties are explored in simulations including gravitation, shock heating and cooling processes, and following self-consistently the chemical evolution of a primordial composition hydrogen-helium plas...
